Pappageorge Haymes Partners (PH) is a leading design and planning firm focused on architecture for a broad range of clients within the multifamily residential, adaptive reuse, mixed-use, hospitality, and master planning sectors across the country.

The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the team, leading projects of various scales from feasibility and concept design through documentation and construction administration while building a strong repeat client base to support organizational growth.

Ideally, this candidate will have experience ranging from mid to senior-level Architect and/or project management. This position does allow for the flexibility of working remotely and from the office.

Responsibilities:

• Primary contact for all clients and consultants
• Dynamic involvement in all phases of the architectural design and construction process
• Create, monitor, and maintain project work plans and help lead efforts to deliver projects according to the schedule and budget. Manage internal and client meetings for week-to-week tasks and project status updates
• Daily design, programming, and technical development of projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the project and clients’ needs
• An advanced understanding of building materials, systems, specifications, codes, details, and construction techniques
• Perform construction administration duties including responding to RFIs and submittals, conducting regular on-site visits, preparation of observation reports, etc
• Participate in our mentorship program, to help accelerate the personal and professional development of junior staff
• Actively engage in internal and external professional development opportunities
• Contribute to the overall culture and success of PH

Job Requirements:

• Professional Degree in Architecture
• Licensed Architect or nearing licensure
• 5+ years of professional experience with a focus on multi-family residential project types
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to effectively manage and lead a team, project, budget, schedule, and communication with clients and consultants
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while working on several projects simultaneously as either the project lead or in a production role
• Knowledge of Building Codes (Chicago and IBC)
• Strong design creativity and/or technical proficiency
• Entrepreneurial and self-motivated
