We are currently recruiting both full-time and part-time Aviation Security Officers to join our team and have the following working options available:
Permanent Full Time 40 hours – working a roster pattern of 4 days on 2 days off (consisting of early shifts starting from 0300 / 0400hrs and afternoon shifts starting anytime
Permanent Part Time 21 hours – working a roster pattern of 4 days on 2 days off (consisting of early shifts starting from 0300 / 0400hrs and afternoon shifts starting anytime from 1200hrs – Salary £10,401.93
This is a customer-facing role in which you will be required;
- To carry out full and effective searches of baggage and airport supplies
- To carry out full and effective searches of people
- To carry out full and effective searches of vehicles
- Undertake patrols of the airport terminal & grounds
- To control access into restricted areas of the Airport
- Check identification or travel documents for all passengers, staff and airport users requiring access to restricted areas
- Deal with on-site security incidents with the team
- Operate the x-ray equipment to screen all luggage for both the cabin and hold including other items being carried into restricted areas
- Provide excellent customer service to all passengers travelling through the airport
- Help with other departments at the airport if/when required
Applicant competencies required are:
- Fluent English language capability, both written and spoken;
- Interpersonal and customer service awareness and skills;
- Attention to detail
- Smart appearance;
- Punctuality;
Applicant Criteria:-
- Full five-year checkable work history. Full details and dates of all periods of employment/ unemployment/ education must be given on the application form for the past 5 years.
- Must have a valid Passport/Drivers Licence.
- Must be resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years to obtain government clearance
