Manage the activities and personnel in a support area of the Cash department. Develop and organize all resources to meet department goals. Ensure strict compliance to all applicable procedures within a controlled working environment and/or valuables handling area.
Ensure that all personnel is trained with skills required to support department needs. Coordinate employment decisions including selecting qualified personnel, evaluating, and reviewing employee performance, promotions, and employee development. The level of work required is considered advanced and staff can work under a minimum. This job has direct reports. You will report to the Assistant Vice President.
You will:
- Ensure compliance with performance and control standards and procedures.
- Manage daily department and unit activities.
- Provide support to operations areas as needed.
- Plan operational improvements, resolve operational problems, and take corrective action to ensure department operations and adherence to controls.
- Serve as the department liaison with Internal Audit, Accounting (SOX), External Auditors, System Compliance, and the Office of Compliance.
- Select, develop, and oversee department staff to maximize operational effectiveness.
- Develop staff to ensure operational depth and maximum use of strengths and abilities.
- Counsel subordinate staff on performance expectations and progress.
- Participate in the creation of department staff development opportunities.
- Remain knowledgeable of cash services industry issues and trends to assess needs and opportunities for service enhancements.
- Maintain managerial effectiveness through training, reading professional literature, special assignments, and other developmental activities.
Your background:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience as noted below
- 5+ years of professional work experience
- Relevant coursework in operations, business, leadership, or accounting
- Talent management leadership competencies
