The NWH Group is a second-generation family business headquartered in Midlothian. Servicing the whole of Scotland and Newcastle from ten sites, the NWH Group’s vision is to eliminate waste by transforming it into a valuable product.
On our mission to eliminate waste, we provide waste collection services to the Leisure, Retail, and construction industries. Collecting waste with our fleet of Trade Refuse, Skip, Tipper, Grab and Walking Floor articulated vehicles,
transporting materials to our Material recycling facilities where we produce valuable products such as cardboard, Paper, Washed sands, Biomass for energy, and animal bedding. The business is now primed for the next phase of growth following strong trading performances and we are recruiting to increase our team to deliver this vision.
We are now recruiting for Category C/Class 2 Drivers to join our Hooks division based out of our site in Glasgow. All our positions are full-time and permanent contract, with an average 50-hour working week.
In addition to the basic & overtime rates, we operate an HGV Driver bonus scheme which pays up to £1.05 extra per hour worked, based on your performance in Infringements, Accidents, Driver Telematics, and Employee Engagement each month.
We also operate an HGV Driver Commitment Bonus, whereby NWH Drivers will be offered the opportunity to be eligible for a £1,500 bonus, should they wish to commit to being with NWH for the coming 12-month period, offered on an annual basis.
The basic rate for our HGV Class 2/Category C Hooks Drivers is £10.87 per hour first 8 hours, with an overtime rate of £16.31 thereafter. Please note, that a probationary rate of 35p less per hour applies to the above for new starts, during their initial 3-month probationary period.
Applicants should have:
- Held their Class 2 / Category C Licence for at least 12 months
- Valid CPC entitlement & Digital Tachograph card
- Good knowledge of road networks
- A maximum of 6 points or less on their license (No DR, DD, CD, or IN codes)
- Excellent command of the English language
- Good Customer Service Skills
