About this role

This role is critical to Openreach delivering against its Reach26 vision by ensuring the right skills are delivered to the right people, at the right time and in the right way. The role will include partnering with business unit stakeholders (clients) to understand their strategic skilling roadmap.

Shape and influence their learning strategy, including the development of the Collaborative Training Model (CTM) within their business area. The role is also accountable for the end-to-end delivery of learning solutions within business units, delivering to time, cost and quality requirements and within business constraints.

The role focuses heavily on validating, defining and analysing clients’ training requirements to ensure clear business outcomes are understood upfront, in order to build the correct learning solution.

You’ll have the following responsibilities

Own regular engagement with business unit stakeholders through regular forums, project-specific meetings and updates Develop and embed learning and development strategy into operational units.

Including the Collaborative Training Model (CTM) Understand your business unit’s environment and priorities to drive and adjust operational skills plans as required
Partner with all LD&R (Learning, Development & Resourcing) functions to collectively manage.

The delivery of skilling programmes and customer experience to business units
Use thought leadership, and drive best practice and innovation to lead the design and delivery of effective training solutions to meet your client’s specific requirements, in line with the overall learning strategy.

Ensure training interventions align both learner experience and business need Lead the input of new transformation skilling requirements into the overall annual learning plan (ALP) for your client’s business unit Take responsibility for the full e2e learning solution lifecycle.

Ensuring solutions are produced in accordance with team processes and templates, maintaining a consistent and professional approach Represent L&D (Learning & Development) at business programme/project meetings and drive key stakeholders to provide L&D with crucial information/deliverables.

Quality standards & timescales are consistently met, in line with stakeholder expectations
Proactively manage changes to the scope of requirements, as well as risks and issues as they arise.

Ensuring any impact on timescales & expectations are fully communicated to the client and across L&D Ensure all new solutions deliver an optimum cost per learner, increased effectiveness and optimise time to competence.

Lead virtual matrix project teams to develop and review solutions, ensuring consistency and quality in every aspect of the project You’ll have the following skills & experience Significant experience in managing a learning and development team or significant.

Operational experience in a relevant organisation Significant experience in successfully leading and delivering complex transformation/change programmes, managing relevant financials and resources (including the third party)

With clear evidence of your ability to engage, inspire and manage change, whilst delivering excellent business results Depth of analytical capability. Able to translate complex data/information into business insights to drive action plans Knowledge of different learning models and how they impact time.

Costs and customer experience Excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with an ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; always customer connected Broad perspective/understanding of how an L&D organisation works.

Experience in delivering time-critical products or solutions as part of major programmes
Experience in client relationship management; able to credibly partner with senior stakeholders across the business.

Experience in driving a high-performance culture and continuous improvement
Experience in the measurement and evaluation of the impact of training
