What does the role involve?
Based in Chullora, the Facility Manager reports to the Transport Manager NSW/ACT and will manage a team responsible for the day-to-day operations management of Sydney Transport operations and its major customers.
You’re required to ensure the implementation of the State Network and National Transport Strategy through the development and execution of locally based strategies and plans that support the achievement of the strategic goals and objectives.
What are the key responsibilities?
- Lead change management programs for the Sydney Transport Facility, ensuring compliance with Consultative Framework obligations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in the network to ensure that Sydney Transport Facility is providing the most optimal service.
- Translate and implement the State Network & Transport Strategy at Sydney Transport Facility (STF).
- Responsible for the fleet of 365 drivers in relation to rostering, compliance, performance, and maintenance.
- Plan and control human resources usage effectively and efficiently, so that correct operational procedures/ practices are followed and the services provided by the operations contribute to the attainment of delivery schedules.
- Develop, implement and manage plans for the achievement of KPIs based on productivity, quality, and customer service including peak planning.
- Adhere to the consultative framework when managing change programs.

In addition to this, you will ideally have
- Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels.
- Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, Transport Compliance, Injury Management, and Fatigue Management Legislation.
- Demonstrate knowledge in Safety Leadership and complying with WHS management systems.
- Desirable – tertiary qualifications in Logistics or related field.
