Role overview:
We have a requirement for a 6-month contract position within Collins Aerospace Australia for a Finance Accountant based in the Lane Cove office, with flexibility for Hybrid working.
We are on an exciting exponential growth journey and require an immediate ambitious self-starter to support the finance function. The role supports an energetic finance manager and team in achieving our financial objectives across controllership and compliance excellence and providing coverage to the FPA functions.
Your success will center around building trust and respect by working with integrity to achieve excellence and drive innovation. The role provides the opportunity to work with diverse cross-functional and cross-border teams across the wider Collins Aerospace, providing financial insight and guidance in support of business decisions to achieve stated objectives while ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly forecast and programs performance reporting.
- Support the operation finance activities such as programs, pricing, business development, and supply chain.
- Prepare month-end financials and complete account reconciliations.
- Supports internal and external audits for controls and compliance adherence.
- Undertake ad hoc project work where required.
Skills and experience:
Essential
- Well-developed clear and concise communications skills (both verbally and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and work with diverse teams.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of company policies, standards, and processes.
- Intermediate or above Excel skills.
Desirable
- Working understanding of SAP is an advantage.
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or similar, CPA/CA desirable.
- Experience working in a global matrixed organization.
- Excellent time management skills.
