We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible student for the Polyclinic Familial Tumors (PFT) of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek for 8 to 16 hours a week.

Job description
Genetic testing is done at the PFT. Data from patients and their relatives are collected for the purpose of genetic testing. This data is stored in a database. You are mainly concerned with keeping this database up-to-date. It is important that the data input is carried out in accordance with the established protocols, so that the completeness and overall quality of the PFT database is guaranteed.

The activities include:

• Collecting (family) data of patients seen on the PFT. This data comes from various data sources and includes: personal data, diagnostic data, PA reports, genetic information and family data;
• uniform interpretation of medical data;
• Accurately encoding and recording the data in the database in accordance with classifications and established procedures;
• Drawing and/or supplementing digital family trees based on available family data;
• Quality control and control: performing quality checks on all entered data.

Working student profile

• You are still studying Medicine (from 2nd year)
• You are familiar with databases and/or hospital information systems
• You work accurately and systematically
• You have good social and communication skills
• You are available during the week
• You are available for at least 8 hours a week for the next 2 years
