This position is responsible for the retail and merchandise strategy development and execution for the Los Angeles Rams. The role serves organization-wide and cross-function efforts. The Manager, Retail and Merchandise marketing requires someone who is innovative, energetic, organized, and that has a strong pulse on culture.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes the annual retail strategy with e-commerce and in-stadium vendors.
- Identify new collaborations, trends, innovations, and concepts that can be incorporated into product offerings and retail strategy.
- Conceptualize, plan and lead execution of the League Office’s annual local collaboration programs
- Serve as the club’s main point of contact with the NFL’s consumer products team, managing relationships with league licensees and staying on top of new initiatives and All 32 programs
- Serve as the club’s main point of contact with the NFLs quality control team, staying on top of logo usage, brand identity, and logo integrity across NFL licensees
- Oversee and internally collaborate across the organization on all promotional orders with merchandise and the retail marketing coordinator
- Work cross-functionally on managing orders, invoices, and forecasting with our partners and licensees
- Work cross-functionally within the organization to build retail extensions for key marketing and fan moments
- Work with the Partnerships team to help forge deeper marketing partnerships with certain licensees, when possible
- Facilitate marketing promotions of key NFL retail programs for 3rd party retail vendors (email, ROS, social)
Experience / Educational Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in retail, consumer products, or related fields
- Experience in sports or licensing-related businesses is a plus.
- A strong pulse of Los Angeles culture and trends
- Existing relationship with fashion brands, designers, and tastemakers a plus
- Must have an understanding of sports retail and consumer product ecosystems, at promotional/premium level and with retail
- Understanding sports and brand licensing is a must
