DHL Supply Chain New Zealand is a Great Place To Work certified.  Based on our Maurice Wilson site, the Leading Hand role is your first step toward DHL’s leadership ladder.  The rostered hours for this role will be 2.30 pm to 11.00 pm, Monday to Friday


As a Leading Hand at DHL Supply Chain, you’ll overcome daily logistical challenges to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly.  In a fast-paced environment, where every day is different.

  • Lead a team & ensure that objectives are communicated and achieved on a daily basis
  • Ensure operational performance across all functions including but not limited to: inbound/outbound/picking/packing/inventory
  • Support & drive inventory control and accuracy across the operation
  • Customer interaction includes maintaining good working relationships & responding to all inquiries in a timely manner
  • Maintaining stock integrity in the warehouse including adhering to DHL policies & procedures
  • Following safe work practices and work instructions
  • Assist with identifying training needs & opportunities to develop the team


  • Operational experience working in a high volume warehouse/3PL environment, previous 2IC experience is preferred, however not essential
  • Current fork hoist and reach license
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills
  • Proven customer-facing experience with the ability to understand customer’s needs and deliver superior customer service
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making ability required
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
