Main responsibilities
The Commercial Operations Leader will support local supply chain and logistics activities, business and financial analysis support, contracts and tender management, and the Sales & Marketing organization across varied operational, logistics, and commercial activities. This includes conjunction with shared service functional teams.
A – Supply Chain and Logistics
- Manage Customer Service team to support varied Supply Chain, Operational & Logistical activities
- Maintaining & submitting accurate demand forecast considering country-specific business needs and operational constraints in coordination with Commercial operational Specialists & warehouse.
- Oversee & Report management periodically on the trends of the Sales, Inventory & Operation Planning (SOP) cycle
- Main interface with suppliers and partners for supply chain/logistics activities within the local market.
- Follow up on PIND inbound shipments with forwarders once it’s leaving the origin warehouse.
- Follow up 3PL/4PL daily operation, to ensure the logistic operation is on track to support market sales.
- Manage stock transfer between India warehouse and wholesalers/distributors, to ensure sufficient stock are in place.
- Ensure inventory reconciliation between SAP and 3PL system
- National Product Catalogue management in coordination with Commercial operational Specialist & warehouse.
- Support recall activity as required in coordination with Quality Team & Product management team. Ensure Commercial Operations Specialist delivers the required information on time.
- The first point of contact with various supply chain and logistics-related stakeholders.
B – Business Analysis
- Coordinate with APAC shared services finance, and other functional teams, for business and financial analysis activities to support local decision-making.
- Provide necessary guidance to Commercial Operation Specialist.
- Participate in budgeting processes, business reviews, and ad hoc analysis
- Ensure submission of sales/product/customer reports
C – Sales and Marketing Support
- Ensure General operational support for sales and marketing team such as events, coordination of promotions, and development of materials.
- Provide Market and sales analysis, generating reports to monitor developments and contribute to strategic marketing and commercial excellence plans.
- Provide Analytical support for price decisions
- Price list management
D – Tender and Contract Management
- Ensure management of timely submissions with high-quality responses aligned to commercial strategy
- Reviewing and ongoing management of contracts ensuring contract compliance – customers, partners, leases, contractors, etc
E – General
- Ad hoc duties and one-off projects as required
Education, and background required for the job
- Solid financial acumen – commerce/finance-related qualifications is a plus but not required
- Operations/supply chain experience
- Experience with data management, analysis, and reporting
- Experience in SAP
- IT System oriented, extensive knowledge of Microsoft PC applications
- Good interpersonal skill
- Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task
