The person we are looking for will join the team of experienced translators at Alexa Translations.
Main functions and responsibilities
- Translate from English to French texts of varying complexity in the field of securities while respecting the high-quality standards of Alexa Translations and the terminological and stylistic preferences of our clients.
- Contribute to the improvement of the neural translation tool based on artificial intelligence Alexa Translations AI
- Carry out the basic terminological research required for these translations.
Studies:
- Undergraduate or graduate university degree in translation (English to French translation).
- University degree in law or certificate in law.
Experience :
- At least three years of relevant translation experience in the securities field.
- Work experience in a translation firm or within the language department of a company will be considered an asset.
- Belonging to a recognized professional order, for example, OTTIAQ or ATIO.
- Active member of the Barreau du Québec, an asset.
Skills :
- Strong interest in translation technologies and good knowledge of computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools.
- Excellent knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent knowledge of securities terminology (prospectus, fund facts, financial statements, annual information form, offering memorandum, management proxy circular, reports, and analytical publications, among others).
