We are seeking a Systems Administrator Student for our PCL Industrial Management Inc. Office located in Edmonton, AB that is available for 4 or 8 months starting  The student will be exposed to the practical side of computer technology including tier one and tier two front-line customer service.

This position is located at our district office in Edmonton, AB. Remote work is not available.

As a Systems Administrator Student, you will contribute to our team by:


  • Desktop application troubleshooting and support.
  • Assisting with configuration and deployment of network equipment (switches, routers, VPN).
  • Creating requisitions for IT equipment and replacing office hardware.
  • Setting up new hire system accesses and equipment.
  • Logging and responding to technology-related issues and requests.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues with users.
  • Creating process documentation.
  • Assisting in a variety of other customer service & systems-related tasks as required.


  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in a related study.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers (Microsoft office basic hardware support).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an appreciation for detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate technology as it relates to the needs of the business.
  • Ability to read basic network drawings.
  • Basic hardware and networking skills.
