Vice Media seeks a motivated, experienced accountant to join our team. This position will be part of the Global Accounting Shared Service team and involve a mix of month-end close functions and accounting support.
The Person
Education
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field required.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of professional experience
- Public / Private accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting required
- Experience communicating accounting issues and determinations to senior-level managers
- Strong excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Ability to learn quickly and apply accounting guidance to new and varied types of transactions
Job Duties
- Creation of internal project codes
- Intercompany reconciliations / matching
- Intercompany bill backs/recharges
- Salary allocations (Global recharges)
- Freelancer Payroll upload / tie out
- Financial statement preparation
- Tax support preparation
- Audit support including pulling samples
- Ad Hoc projects / LOB reporting as needed by the business
- LOB support as needed
- Knowledge of Netsuite is a plus
