**We are currently looking for a Full-Time Teller to work in the San Antonio home office location.**
**Working and Training Hours: Monday – Friday, between 6:45 am – 6:00 pm CST and Rotating Saturdays 8:15 am – 1:30 pm CST.**
This role is considered a sensitive position in which individuals have the authority and ability to conduct in-scope activities (movement of USAA or Member funds).
Employees in sensitive positions are required to fulfill a Mandatory Time-Away (MTA) requirement of 10 consecutive business days each calendar year as defined within the enterprise compliance policy.
Job Requirements
As a Bank Teller, you will work under direct supervision, to help protect the financial interests of USAA and our members by conducting investigations of member claims.
You’ll also research, analyze, and process dispute inquiries for financial transactions related to debit, credit, and deposit accounts, in an attempt to recover funds for members in accordance with all Regulatory Requirements and Association rules.
You will engage in customer service activities to resolve member needs and provide appropriate resolutions. USAA operates in a strong compliance and risk management environment where performance is measured while ensuring the constant support of our members.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identifies and handles existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, supervised, and controlled.
- Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
- Works under general supervision and is accountable for delivering outstanding service in performing a variety of basic banking services through the lobby and/or drive-thru.
- Resolves member issues and/or complaints in a professional manner; collaborates with team members to resolve issues and identify appropriate issues for customer concerns and seeks management assistance as needed.
- Follows operational processes, procedures, and requirements and applies their job experience to carry out moderately sophisticated work assignments, like estate accounts and special endorsements.
- Maintains low error ratio, teller cash drawer limits, and remains within cash outage allowance.
- Identifies new and emerging fraud transactions and provides accurate, timely communication to management to mitigate loss.
- Responds to and advises member inquiries on product features and services.
- Recognizes and refers to potential product needs and self-service opportunities.
- Maintains and adheres to all policies, regulations, guidelines, and procedures applicable to Teller Operations (i.e. Patriot Act – Anti-money Laundering, Regulation CC, OFAC, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma
- 1 year of customer service experience as a teller, in financial services, or retail sales environment.
- General math and calculator skills with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of applicable banking regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of current experience as a Bank Teller.

Geographical Differential:
The geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.
Shift premium:
Addressed on an individual basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
