We are seeking an Assistant Controller. As an Assistant Controller, you will manage the Accounting department to ensure that it is providing effective and efficient service operations executive management and Customer Service Operations (CSO). This individual is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the performance and needs of CSO.
What you will do in this role:

• Supervise and coordinate the following financial services: bank reconciliations, fixed assets, monthly billing (cost projections), closing the monthly and annual accounts, general ledger accounting, budget, balance sheet recon, and other financial reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements (SOX, HIPAA, etc.)
• Prepare cost analysis, reviews rates, and reconciles revenues to ensure appropriate income/cash flow
• Prepare annual budget and analysis, in addition to the presentation of monthly financial statements
• Prepare financial information and reports for management, government, and other agencies
• Provide FSG with financial reports according to corporate policy
• Select, train, and evaluate the performance of Accounting personnel to ensure the quality of service and technical expertise
• Provide assistance to all management staff related to the performance of financial management matters
• Provide internal consulting for CSO operations
• Track progress against budgets by groups and teams on a periodic basis
• Report performance versus budget to operations
• Assists operations with company SWOT objectives and completes assigned Projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or Finance required.
• CPA Certification is Preferred.
• Minimum five years of Accounting experience required.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience required.
• Experience in healthcare provider finance operations (especially billing and collections) preferred.
• Must have GL Month End close with P&L variance analysis and budget experience
